In this section you will find information on workshops and capacity building activities promoted by the Biodiversity Information System of Uruguay (SIBUy). Access presentations, practical exercises and materials designed to strengthen the knowledge and skills of users in the use and management of biodiversity data. Our goal is to support the development of technical competencies and promote knowledge sharing within the national community.

Capacity Building Workshop on Biodiversity Data Publication (11-12 Nov. 2024)
On November 11 and 12, the first “Workshop for Capacity Building in the Publication of Biodiversity Data” was held at the Faculty of Sciences with the support of the Ministry of Environment, GBIF, the National Museum of Natural History and the United Nations Development Program. In both sessions, participants received training in data standardization, validation tools, cleaning and publication. Members of different biological collections and private institutions attended.
Objective: Strengthen the capacities of biological collections teams and national organizations interested in making available the biodiversity data shared from the country, through the Biodiversity Information System of Uruguay (SIBUy).
